Things to Remember About Running a Small Business
When considering a Direct Marketing business, or any business that requires an investment paid to someone else, take a few minutes to check them out online. When something sounds interesting, our desire is to believe and not research for the truth, the truth might dispel our dreams, but just take that extra few minutes to do a fact finding search, it's not even so much about the small investment, but more about the time and effort you will be putting forth. Now it is true that some people do not like DS businesses and will always write bad reviews, and some people are selling something different and will write bad comparisons to boost their own products, and some people just get mad and write bad reviews because they failed. Take that all into account, yes, but check to be sure the company is not already in legal troubles or is plagued with a never ending list of complaints.

When you go out into the world and begin selling things, you have to accept that there are laws and regulations governing most aspects of business, hopefully to also protect us as consumers, but while tiny businesses many slip though many cracks, be sure to do your home work, especially when it comes to Direct Sales. Direct Sales companies are generally not small businesses and they are very careful to word their promotional materials carefully to stay inside the lines of the laws. You must do the same when representing their products, that is why DS companies are so strict about their representatives not going off and creating their own websites and boosting their own claims, it can come back onto the company, despite all of their attempts to keep control of their representatives. Read your DS company's policies carefully and avoid making unsubstantiated and un-tested/proved claims about the products. How you feel about a product is one thing, saying it cures all kinds of aliments that you can not prove is a totally different thing.
